Former Chief Veterinary Officer of Switzerland joins Prionics Board of Directors
Zurich, May 31, 2011. Prof. Dr. med. vet. Ulrich Kihm has been elected to the Prionics Board of Directors by shareholders at their annual general assembly on May 25, 2011. The former Swiss Chief Veterinary Officer will strengthen the Prionics Board; bringing more than 20 years of international experience in the field of animal health.
Professor Kihm, who is the president of the company Safe Food Solutions Inc. (SAFOSO), brings to Prionics a profound knowledge of infectious diseases and zoonoses as well as good connections to international veterinary organizations and businesses. He also served as Switzerland’s Chief Veterinary Officer, controlling BSE and other important diseases such as Salmonella.

In addition to Prof. Kihm, Mr. Marcel Maglock and Dr. Markus Moser, CEO of Prionics, were elected to the Board. Mr. Maglock brings to the Board considerable experience in finance and management consulting. He is a private investor and financial consultant and currently serves on the Boards of several companies. Mr. Gerhard Musshafen was affirmed Chairman of the Board.
